.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather conditions will remain elevated across far northern
Colorado on Thursday. Dry air has moved in from the west behind
the departing storm system. Some stronger jet stream winds remain
overhead. During peak mixing on Thursday afternoon, a few wind gusts
in the 20-25 mph range will be possible along and just south of the
Wyoming border. Beyond Thursday, the next opportunity for elevated
fire conditions may be on Sunday evening as a trough moves in from
the west. Winds may become gusty late in the afternoon hours however
RH values will likely remain below Red Flag criteria.
