Tropical Storm Imelda Forms; Another Round of Heavy Rain and Potential Flooding in the Southwest

Tropical Storm Imelda has formed near the Bahamas Sunday afternoon, and continues to bring heavy rainfall. Tropical storm conditions are possible along the east coast of Florida beginning Monday. Moisture tracking over the Sierra Nevada from the east will bring chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Lightning, small hail, gusty and erratic winds, and localized heavy rainfall rates are all possible in developed thunderstorms.
