A Nor'easter will bring significant coastal impacts to the Mid-Atlantic and New England through the weekend. Moderate to major coastal flooding, heavy rain, strong winds and high surf expected. Hurricane Nolo is expected to stay just south of the Big Island of Hawaii. Bruce Underwood and WGSV owner Kerry Jackson Receive Award For 50 Years of Service On July 10th, 2008, Mr. Bruce Underwood and WGSV/WTWX station owner Mr. Kerry Jackson were recognized for 50 years of service. Mr. Bruce Underwood rising before 4:00 AM each morning, has been reporting temperature and rainfall data recorded at WGSV in Guntersville since May 10, 1958. Radio station WGSV-AM/WTWX-FM has carried on the tradition of recording important temperature and rainfall information that began when a COOP site was first established in Guntersville February 1, 1900.
