Well above normal temperatures are forecast to shift from the northern Plains through the Northeast U.S. over the long holiday weekend. A few strong to severe thunderstorm will be possible as well along with a potential for excessive rainfall. Bruce Underwood and WGSV owner Kerry Jackson Receive Award For 50 Years of Service On July 10th, 2008, Mr. Bruce Underwood and WGSV/WTWX station owner Mr. Kerry Jackson were recognized for 50 years of service. Mr. Bruce Underwood rising before 4:00 AM each morning, has been reporting temperature and rainfall data recorded at WGSV in Guntersville since May 10, 1958. Radio station WGSV-AM/WTWX-FM has carried on the tradition of recording important temperature and rainfall information that began when a COOP site was first established in Guntersville February 1, 1900. |
