A National Weather Service Meteorologist is available to talk to your class.

Meteorologists at the National Weather Service (NWS) Forecast Office in Huntsville, Alabama are available to speak to your classroom beginning at the 2nd grade level. We have several prepared computer presentations on general meteorology and the NWS. We can also provide presentations specifically tailored to a certain topic, including tornadoes, weather safety rules, tropical cyclones, and non-precipitation weather. In addition to giving prepared talks, we also enjoy doing weather-related experiments. If possible, we prefer to speak to several classes of the same grade simultaneously.

If you are interested in arranging an activity, please send an email to our education outreach team.
