Powerful Winter Storm from the Upper Midwest into the Northeast; Severe Thunderstorms in the Midwest and Ohio Valley

A rapidly-intensifying storm is expected to bring heavy snow, blizzard conditions, and icing from the Upper Midwest through the Great Lakes and Northeast. Winter Storm

Snow overspread much of the region Wednesday night and continued through Thursday morning. The heaviest snow fell across parts of southwest and south central Ohio where 5 to 6 inch snow amounts were common. 4 to 5 inch snow amounts were fairly widespread across southeast Indiana and northern Kentucky. Along and just south of Interstate 70, snowfall amounts were generally in the 2 to 4 inch range.
