Heavy Great Lakes Snow through Friday; Extreme Cold and Potential for Major Winter Storm Late Week into this Weekend

Multiple clipper systems will bring cold temperatures and enhance lake-effect snow downwind of the Great Lakes. Snow

A band of powdery snow moved through the I-71 corridor on Tuesday morning producing 1-4" of accumulation. Many snowfall observers noted the very light, fluffy nature of the snow. Some snow-to-water ratios were measured as high as 35:1 with the snow, which is a much lighter-density snow than normal for the area.
