Heavy Rainfall for Portions of the West and Southern Plains; Dangerous Heat for the Northwest

Monsoonal flow coinciding with a frontal boundary will focus more showers and thunderstorms across the central Great Basin, central Rockies, Southwest into the Southern Plains. Severe Weather & Heavy Rain

During the afternoon and evening hours, multiple clusters of storms progressed through the region in a highly sheared (but low instability) environment. Very heavy rain was reported in parts of the area, as well as gusty non-thunderstorm-related winds. Additionally, an EF0 tornado was confirmed to have touched down in Clark County.
