Watching Hurricane Erin; Heavy Rainfall Threat for Upper Midwest; Heatrisk for Mississippi Valley

Hurricane Erin continues to track westward with its outer bands bringing heavy rainfall and gusty winds for Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands. Life-threatening surf and rip currents are occurring and will spread across the Atlantic coasts this week. Public Information Statement National Weather Service Wilmington OH 703 PM EDT Thu Mar 20 2025 ...NWS Damage Survey for 03/19/2025 Tornado Event... Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 105 mph Path Length /statute/: 3.15 miles Path Width /maximum/: 90 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 03/19/2025 Start Time: 10:54 PM EDT Start Location: 1 NE Burlington / Boone County / KY Start Lat/Lon: 39.0412 / -84.7037 End Date: 03/19/2025 End Time: 10:56 PM EDT End Location: 3 WSW Villa Hills / Boone County / KY End Lat/Lon: 39.0588 / -84.6499 Survey Summary: A tornado touched down west of KY-237 at an industrial site. Partial roof removal was observed at this site. The tornado tracked northeast and uprooted multiple trees. The tornado then tracked across Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport where extensive wall and roof damage was observed to an industrial building. A 747 was moved 5 feet from the winds. Also, about a dozen cars experienced damage from flying debris in a nearby parking garage. Additional tree damage and damage to HVAC systems was observed on the northeast side of the airport prior to lifting.
