Decorah, Oelwein, and Viroqua Automated Weather Observations Offline

The following automated weather observing system (AWOS) sites are not currently transmitting some or all of their usual weather data. Note that these sites are not owned or maintained by the National Weather Service, so we do not have control or a precise timeline for their planned restoration:

Decorah, Iowa (KDEH) is not providing temperature and dewpoint readings due to issues with the instrumentation. The units will be replaced as soon as replacements become available. Meanwhile, the Iowa Department of Transportation maintains a nearby roadside unit with data available here.
Oelwein, Iowa (KOLZ) is not providing temperature and dewpoint readings due to issues with the instrumentation. The units will be replaced as soon as replacements become available.
Viroqua, Wisconsin (KY51) will remain offline until a new system is installed later this year. Meanwhile, the Wisconsin Mesonet maintains nearby observation sites at La Farge and Soldiers Grove.
