Beginning at the end of February for the winter season, the National Weather Service in Jackson will begin issuing seasonal climate reports for six sites in Mississippi and Louisiana. These reports will be based on meteorological seasons (December - February, March - May, June - August, September - November), and will be issued within two to three days of the end of each season. The products will be issued under WMO header CXUS54 KJAN and the following AWIPS headers:
CLSGLH - Greenville
CLSGWO - Greenwood
CLSHBG - Hattiesburg
CLSJAN - Jackson (Medgar Wiley Evers International)
CLSMEI - Meridian
CLSTVR - Tallulah/Vicksburg
These reports will be very similar in format to the existing monthly climate summary products (issued under CLMXXX), and will include comparable information.
