Hello and welcome to the National Weather Service Jackson, MS educational resource page.  My name is Felecia Bowser, Warning Coordination Meteorologist, and one my roles is to educate people of the weather hazardous that can affect the ARKLAMISS.  

Are you prepared if a hurricane was to strike Mississippi or Louisiana? Do you know what safety measures you would need to take during such an occurrence? The Hurricane Season begins on June 1, 2019, but knowing the answers to the above questions well ahead of time will not only benefit you, but will also benefit your family!
