HEAVY RAINFALL ACROSS THE ARKLAMISS REGION MAY 15TH

HEAVY RAINFALL DEVELOPED ACROSS THE REGION FROM WEDNESDAY, MAY 14TH, INTO EARLY AFTERNOON ON THE 15TH. RAINFALL AMOUNTS WERE THE HEAVIEST IN THE NORTHERN PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST LOUISIANA AND SOUTHEAST ARKANSAS EASTWARD TO YAZOO AND HUMPHREYS COUNTIES IN MISSISSIPPI. RAINFALL RANGED FROM 5 TO 8 INCHES.

ANOTHER HEAVY AREA OF RAINFALL DEVELOPED ACROSS NORTHERN SMITH, SCOTT AND NEWTON COUNTIES. RAINFALL RANGED FROM 4 TO 6 INCHES.

RAINFALL ACROSS METROPOLITAN JACKSON AND MERIDIAN RANGED FROM 2 TO 4 INCHES. MOST OTHER SECTIONS OF THE WFO JACKSON FORECAST AREA RECEIVED 1 TO 3 INCHES.
