Additional Heavy Rain and Flooding Concerns in Central Texas; Tropical Storm Chantal to Impact the Coastal Carolinas

Heavy rainfall and flooding concerns remain for today across Central Texas and the Hill Country, with scattered thunderstorms expected this afternoon and evening. Tropical Storm Chantal has formed and will bring heavy rainfall and flooding concerns to portions of the coastal Carolinas. Several Tornadoes Impact Southeast Louisiana and Southern Mississippi March 26-27

Two rounds of severe thunderstorms containing tornadoes and damaging straight line winds affected Southeast Louisiana and Southern Mississippi on March 26th and 27th.

At this time, 7 tornadoes have been confirmed from this event. Of the 7 tornadoes, 4 were rated EF1 and 3 were rated EF0. Numerous other locations experienced damaging straight line winds in excess of 60-70 mph.
