Heavy thunderstorms may bring areas of excessive rainfall and locally considerable flooding over parts of the Ozarks into the lower-Mississippi River Valley Friday and Saturday. The tornado touched down southeast of Center near Herbert Hodges Road. It damaged 3 or 4 barns and snapped numerous trees. The tornado lifted 1.5 miles east-southeast of Center.
