Dangerous heat will persist across the Southwest U.S. through Saturday with daytime highs of 110-115°F. Extreme Heat Warnings remain in effect. An intense low pressure system produced severe weather and historic gradient winds to the Lower Ohio Valley on Friday, March 3, 2023. Wind gusts of 60-80 mph produced widespread wind damage and power outages.
