Homer Strong is the manager for Eastern Kentucky University's Maywoods Natural Area near Crab Orchard, KY. During his time at Maywoods, Mr. Strong has served as a Cooperative Observer for the National Weather Service, taking daily temperature and precipitation observations. Recently, Mr. Strong received a service award for completing 25 years as a Cooperative Observer.
