Dry and breezy conditions will bring elevated to critical fire weather conditions across portions of the northern and central High Plains through this weekend, where fuels remain largely receptive. The tornado was embedded in a swath of 70mph straight-line winds. The tornado touched down about four miles northeast of Winchester between Gay Evans Road and Pretty Run Road. Two barns were destroyed, three barns had substantial damage, a corn crib was destroyed, one house had structural damage, and many trees were uprooted or snapped.
