Dangerous heat will persist across the Southwest U.S. through Saturday with daytime highs of 110-115°F. Extreme Heat Warnings remain in effect. Strong and gusty southwest winds ahead of a cold front impacted the Ohio Valley on Sunday, May 9, 2021. Several locations had gusts exceeding 50 mph, and multiple trees were downed in the Louisville Metro.
