Marginal Risks of Severe Storms on the Central Plains; Flash flooding on the Northern Plains; Frost & Freeze Warnings in portions of the West & Northeast

A storm system developing across the Plains may cause locally severe weather in western Kansas and southwestern Nebraska today, with isolated flash flooding possible in portions of eastern Montana and western North Dakota. The NOAA Weather Radio transmitter in Elizabethtown, KY (frequency 162.550 MHz) will be off the air for most of the day on Thursday, August 7, 2025. In the meantime, NOAA Weather Radio listeners in Hardin County can tune to the Ekron transmitter (162.450 MHz) or the Horse Cave transmitter (162.500 MHz).
