Severe Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Across the Ohio Valley;

Severe thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts will be possible from the mid-Mississippi Valley into parts of the Ohio Valley and central Appalachians. The NOAA Weather Radio transmitter in Elizabethtown, KY (frequency 162.550 MHz) will be off the air for most of the day on Thursday, August 7, 2025. In the meantime, NOAA Weather Radio listeners in Hardin County can tune to the Ekron transmitter (162.450 MHz) or the Horse Cave transmitter (162.500 MHz).
