Severe Thunderstorms and Heavy Rainfall Across the Central Plains and Central Appalachians

Severe thunderstorms producing damaging winds, heavy rainfall, hail and possibly a few tornadoes will continue through tonight across portions of Kansas and Oklahoma. Heavy rainfall will persist across the Central Appalachians through tonight, potentially leading to areas of flooding. NOAA All Hazards Weather Radio Station, KIH45 located near Bowling Green will remain on low power at least into Tuesday 12/22.  Technicians from KET are awaiting additional replacement parts, which are on order and will be installed on Tuesday.  In the meantime, listeners can tune into the Horse Cave, Kentucky transmitter which operates at frequency of 162.500 Mhz.
