Dangerous Heat and Possible Flooding

Dangerous heat will persist across the Southwest U.S. through Saturday with daytime highs of 110-115°F. Extreme Heat Warnings remain in effect. NWS Louisville staff were treated to presentations from the U.S. Coast Guard and the Ohio River Forecast Center on Wednesday, October 23rd. Michelle Thornton of the U.S. Coast Guard presented on operations on the Ohio River and how they pertain to OHRFC/NWS operations. Jim Noel of the Ohio River Forecast Center updated the staff on OHRFC operations.
