Atmospheric River Continues Areas of Heavy Rain and Snow for California This Weekend

An atmospheric river will continue to bring gusty winds, moderate to heavy rainfall, and potential flooding to southern California and the southern Great Basin through Sunday. NWS Louisville staff were treated to presentations from the U.S. Coast Guard and the Ohio River Forecast Center on Wednesday, October 23rd. Michelle Thornton of the U.S. Coast Guard presented on operations on the Ohio River and how they pertain to OHRFC/NWS operations. Jim Noel of the Ohio River Forecast Center updated the staff on OHRFC operations.
