Showers and Thunderstorms in the Southwest and Ohio Valley; Mountain Snow in the Northeast

Showers and thunderstorms, along with high-elevation snow, will begin to develop over parts of the Southwest late tonight and is expected to continue through Wednesday morning. Mountain snow over parts the Northeast will continue through Tuesday. A few strong to severe storms and heavy rainfall are possible across portions of the Lower Ohio Valley Tuesday. Read More >

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held this past Wednesday to celebrate the installation of Kentucky Mesonet's latest automated weather station. The site is located north of Lexington at the University of Kentucky's Spindletop Farm and is a joint venture between Western Kentucky University and UK. Data from the site includes temperature, relative humidity, wind, barometric pressure, solar radiation, soil temperature, precipitation, and a live webcam. Data is accessible from kymesonet.org or by using their app.
