The Perseid Meteor shower is expected to peak early on the morning of Friday August 12th. This year's shower is expected to be particularly intense with rates up to 200 meteors per hour! Viewing will be dependent on your location and exactly when you are trying to watch the sky. A very moist air mass remains in place, so partly cloudy skies are expected for most of the night. A stray shower or thunderstorm can't be ruled out either, but most locations will remain dry through the night.
