Dangerous Heat and Possible Flooding

Dangerous heat will persist across the Southwest U.S. through Saturday with daytime highs of 110-115°F. Extreme Heat Warnings remain in effect. The NOAA Weather Radio transmitters at Elizabethtown (162.550 MHz) and Ekron (162.450 MHz) may briefly go off the air today for preventative maintenance.  The maps below indicate the coverage areas for these transmitters, which include parts of the Louisville Metro area.  The transmitter in New Albany (162.475 MHz) still provides coverage for Louisville.
