A storm system will continue to produce widespread showers and thunderstorms as it progresses eastward across the central U.S. into the Northeast through the weekend. The NOAA Weather Radio transmitters at Elizabethtown (162.550 MHz) and Ekron (162.450 MHz) may briefly go off the air today for preventative maintenance. The maps below indicate the coverage areas for these transmitters, which include parts of the Louisville Metro area. The transmitter in New Albany (162.475 MHz) still provides coverage for Louisville.
