Significant Winter Storm to Bring Heavy Snow and Ice Impacts; Dangerously Cold Temperatures Expands Across the East

A significant, long-duration winter storm will bring widespread heavy snow, sleet, and freezing rain from the Southern Rockies to New England through Monday. Widespread travel disruptions, prolonged power outages, and vast tree damage is likely. Overview

A series of strong storms, including supercells, moved into the lower Ohio River Valley and Tennessee Valleys late on the evening of March 2 and early in the morning of March 3, 2020. Along with large hail, and some flash flooding, one particular storm produced a brief but strong tornado in SE Warren County, crossing over into Allen County, KY.
