Winter Storm to Impact the Northern Mid-Atlantic and Interior Northeast; heavy rain in the Southeast

A storm system will bring a variety of hazards to the Eastern US. Wintry precipitation is expected from the central Appalachians to the Northeast. Heavy snow is expected for interior New England and the northern Mid-Atlantic through the night, and icing will continue in the Appalachians this morning. Overview

A series of strong storms, including supercells, moved into the lower Ohio River Valley and Tennessee Valleys late on the evening of March 2 and early in the morning of March 3, 2020. Along with large hail, and some flash flooding, one particular storm produced a brief but strong tornado in SE Warren County, crossing over into Allen County, KY.
