Severe Storms For The Northeast U.S..; Heat And Fire Out West

A strong cold front will likely trigger severe thunderstorms and locally heavy rain on Friday from the Interior Northeast into the eastern Ohio Valley and northern Mid-Atlantic region, especially in New York state and Pennsylvania. This season was a warm one. It was the 6th warmest fall on record at Louisville and Bowling Green, and the 9th warmest on record at Lexington. The season was quiet weather-wise, with no significant severe weather or accumulating snow in southern Indiana and central Kentucky.
