Excessive Rainfall and Significant Flooding in the Upper Midwest This Weekend

Heavy to excessive rainfall is expected over the weekend across eastern Iowa, northern Missouri, northwest Illinois and southern Wisconsin. On April 16, Bellarmine University in Louisville became the sixth university in Kentucky to be recognized as a StormReady University. Bellarmine is the Commonwealth's first private StormReady university. The Office of Public Safety has aligned the University's severe weather response with national best practices, and developed a comprehensive Emergency Operations Plan that could be a model for campus preparedness everywhere.
