Heavy Rainfall and Flooding Threats in the Midwest and Ohio Valley; Heat Continues in the Plains and Southeast

An active pattern will continue to bring heavy to excessive rainfall and flash flooding threats to the Midwest and Ohio Valley over the next couple of days. Dangerous heat continues across the central/southern Plains and Southeast U.S. into next week. Garrard County

All of these photos were sent to us by Chris Leftwich in Paint Lick.  In his e-mail he said, "Water in the buildings ranged from 5 inches to 5 feet.  (My) office had three feet of water.  The old-timers say this is the worst flood in terms of water depth ever.  It beats the 1979 flood by several feet."
