Winter Storm to Impact the Northern Mid-Atlantic and Interior Northeast; heavy rain in the Southeast

A storm system will bring a variety of hazards to the Eastern US. Wintry precipitation is expected from the central Appalachians to the Northeast. Heavy snow is expected for interior New England and the northern Mid-Atlantic through the night, and icing will continue in the Appalachians this morning. Morning Lows Oct. 31 2023

Temperatures on the morning of Oct. 31, 2023 ranged from the low/mid 20s to 32 degrees across much of southern Indiana and central Kentucky. Through coordination with agricultural partners and neighboring offices, the Frost and Freeze Program has concluded for southern Indiana and central Kentucky areas served by the NWS in Louisville. The frost and freeze program will resume in the spring with the start of the growing season.
