Heavy Rainfall and Flooding Threats in the Midwest and Ohio Valley; Heat Continues in the Plains and Southeast

An active pattern will continue to bring heavy to excessive rainfall and flash flooding threats to the Midwest and Ohio Valley over the next couple of days. Dangerous heat continues across the central/southern Plains and Southeast U.S. into next week. Straight-Line Wind Damage

Wind damage in northern Garrard County was the result of 90mph straight-line winds. Three locations had most of the damage: High Bridge Road near the junction of Bowman's Bottoms Road, along Bowman's Bottoms Road, and near the end of Polly's Bend Road. Barns and outbuildings were destroyed, several homes were damaged, and trees and fences were blown down.
