Severe thunderstorms are likely today across the northern Plains and into the upper Mississippi Valley. Gusty winds and dry conditions will result in widespread critical fire weather through Saturday across parts of the Four Corners region and the Great Basin. NWS damage assessment on Saturday afternoon's tornado in Barren County, south of Glasgow: Magnitude EF-0, max winds 70-80 mph, path width 30 yards. The roof was torn off a large metal outbuilding, and corn was flattened to show a clear tornadic damage path. Full details and pics later this evening.
