Two Storms Tracking through the Southwest and Southcentral U.S.

A storm over the southwest U.S. will shift east through Thursday while another Pacific storm pivots over the region Friday through the weekend. Widespread low elevation rain and high elevation snow showers are expected with each storm. Though June and July were rather stormy, the summer finished with a very quiet August. Overall, though, the summer was a wet one with Louisville and Frankfort ending up in the top five wettest summers on record. Temperatures tended to be near seasonal norms, though August was unusually cool.
