A storm system will bring a number impacts to the central and eastern US. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected in the Gulf Coast and Deep South. Further north, a wintry mix may produce a glaze of ice from the Ozarks/Mid-South east through the Ohio Valley. Narrative: A tornado moved northeast from near Park City to Cave City. Fifty homes were damaged or destroyed, mostly in and near Cave City. Some of the dead were found 300 yards from where they were sleeping. The Masonic Hall and two churches were destroyed. The track may very well have continued on past Barren County.
