Severe Thunderstorms and Heavy Rainfall in the Southern Plains; Heat Continues in the West

Strong to severe thunderstorms may bring areas of excessive rainfall and flooding over parts of the southern Plains today through Friday. Hot to dangerously hot temperatures are forecast across portions of the Pacific Northwest and southern Great Basin today. Narrative:  Moved east from south of High Grove, to seven miles west of Fairfield, to two miles east of Fairfield.  A man was killed in a tobacco barn, and thirty people were injured in the High Grove area as at least six homes were destroyed.  The funnel may have been aloft over Fairfield.  This tornado was part of the "Enigma Outbreak", when sixty tornadoes swept through the southeast United States.
