An active pattern will continue to bring heavy to excessive rainfall and flash flooding threats to the Midwest and Ohio Valley over the next couple of days. Dangerous heat continues across the central/southern Plains and Southeast U.S. into next week. Narrative: Moved northeast from near Cartersville to north of Berea. An elderly man and a child were killed in a home two miles west of Berea. Two other people died in Garrard County near Cartersville. At least 15 homes were destroyed or torn apart.
