Dangerous Heat and Possible Flooding This Week

Hot temperatures and high humidity are forecast to continue across much of east Texas into the mid-Mississippi Valley through this week. Narrative:  A tornado moved northeast from near Park City to Cave City.  Fifty homes were damaged or destroyed, mostly in and near Cave City.  Some of the dead were found 300 yards from where they were sleeping.  The Masonic Hall and two churches were destroyed.  The track may very well have continued on past Barren County.
