Severe Thunderstorms and Heavy Rainfall in the Southern Plains; Heat Continues in the West

Strong to severe thunderstorms may bring areas of excessive rainfall and flooding over parts of the southern Plains today through Friday. Grazulis narrative:  Hit at Becks Mill.  Two women were killed when their shelter collapsed onto them.  The old fruit cellar behind the house may have been weakened by rain water and the sudden pressure change.  Their home had only broken windows.  One of the women had been injured in a tornado on April 3, 1956.
