Heavy to excessive rainfall is expected today into Wednesday over New Mexico into far west Texas. Flash flooding and debris flows in wildfire burn areas will be possible. A strong coastal storm will develop off the Mid-Atlantic coast Wednesday, intensifying toward southern New England this weekend. Notes: This weak tornado did tree damage as it briefly touched down along Mount Pleasant Road northwest of Bedford, snapping upper-level tree branches in a narrow path. Occupants of a mobile home witnessed the tornado as it approached from the west, and they took shelter in their bathroom. While a large tree next to their home crushed a pickup truck as it came down, their home sustained minimal damage.
