A cold front approaching the Mississippi Valley will bring heavy rainfall and isolated severe thunderstorms to the region. Thunderstorms will have the potential to produce isolated severe wind gusts and perhaps a brief tornado or two. Narrative: Two large factory buildings and a warehouse at the American Car and Foundry plant were destroyed in Jeffersonville, halting production of much-needed naval artillery. Slight roof damage occurred at the corner of Walnut and Court Streets. The damage was surveyed by the chief of the Louisville weather station, E. E. Unger.
