Dangerous Heat and Possible Flooding

Dangerous heat will persist across the Southwest U.S. through Saturday with daytime highs of 110-115°F. Extreme Heat Warnings remain in effect. A strong cold front moved through Wednesday evening, with gusty winds out of the southwest ahead of the front, and out of the west just after frontal passage. Here are the peak gusts measured at NWS and Kentucky Mesonet sites around the area.
