Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain in the Mid-South; Heat Continues in the Southeast and Southwest

Severe thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected across portions of the mid-Mississippi Valley into the Ohio Valley and portions of Arizona. Dangerous heat persists in the South and Southeast while building into the Southwest. Overview

A severe weather episode comprised of large hail and damaging winds affected mainly parts of central to southeast Missouri on Saturday, May 27th. Several rounds of severe thunderstorms beginning in the early afternoon and lasting through the early evening brought large hail and fairly widespread damaging winds.
