Current Status: The National Weather Service St. Louis and the National Weather Service Central Region Headquarters continue to try to find a suitable location to reestablish the Hillsboro/Coffeen NWR site back to service. As of this date, we have been unsuccessful in our attempts to locate a tower that can accommodate us. We will continue to work with our local partners and County Emergency Managers to try to resolve this issue as timely as possible.

While we continue to search for a new location for our equipment, the Hillsboro, IL transmitter does have overlapping coverage from several other transmitters. Information on all of those can be found below:â€‹
