Very Warm And Humid Conditions Today:


A warm and humid airmass will sit over Wisconsin through this evening. Then a cold front will slide southwest through the area overnight.

Highs today are expected to be in the lower 90s across southern Wisconsin. The combination of the very warm and humid conditions will bring heat index values into the mid to upper 90s this afternoon. Plan ahead for the very warm and humid conditions, and review heat safety information here.

Madison and Milwaukee will approach their record highs for today.  The record high for Madison is 94 which was set in 1956.  The record high for Milwaukee is 95 which was set in 1933.

Severe Storms Possible This Afternoon/Evening:
 

SPC has most of the area in a Marginal Risk for severe storms this afternoon and evening, with a small threat of large hail and damaging winds.

Friday Thunderstorm Summary

Thunderstorms developed over the Northern Plains on Friday and evolved into a line by the time they reached eastern Minnesota. The line of storms tracked east-southeast through Wisconsin Friday evening and produced strong, damaging winds primarily in central Wisconsin.  There were a few reports of strong winds in south central Wisconsin.  Here is a summary of reports from Friday's Storms.
