Its that time of year again for CoCoRaHS March Madness. States have begun to duke it out to see who can recruit the most volunteer weather observers for the month of March. Time to help Wisconsin WIN the CoCoRaHs Cup and prove march is not just for basketball.

Sign up to watch and report weather conditions in your area!

If you can't find your area on the map above then WE NEED YOU.

The Community Collaborate Rain, Hail and Snow Network (CoCoRaHS) needs you to be a volunteer weather observer! Everyone can participate, both young and old, and in-between. The only requirements are an enthusiasm for watching weather, reporting conditions, and a desire to learn more about how weather can affect and impact our lives.

You'll be amazed at what you can learn as you become more aware of the variable weather that impacts you, your neighbors, our state and our entire county. Plus, you'll help provide ground truth for every weather event, valuable information for improving weather forecasting models, drought and heavy rain assessments. The information you provide through CoCoRaHs will be used daily by meteorologists, hydrologists, engineers, famers/ranchers, students and everything in-between. You will be able to actively help Wisconsin get a more accurate forecast.

Join the more than 480 Wisconsin agronomists, lakeshore property owners, and citizen scientists who report daily rainfall, snow fall and weather facts!

All you need to do is sign up, get trained, purchase a rain gauge. Then start measuring rain, snow, or hail in your community.
