A few hundred thousand hunters will be outdoors across Wisconsin for the opening weekend of the gun deer season.  Look for windy conditions tonight, followed by dry and cold weather on Sunday.

Tonight:

Northwest winds of 15 to 25 mph are expected into this evening, with occasional gusts of 30 to 35 mph. These winds will slowly decrease later tonight into Sunday morning.

Lows will be rather cold for this time of year, in the lower to middle 20s across southern Wisconsin.

For Sunday:

High pressure slides by to the south tomorrow.  It'll be dry across Wisconsin, with skies ranging from mostly cloudy across the northeast, to mostly sunny in the southwest.

The combination of cold morning low temperatures and lingering northwest winds will push wind chills into the single digits in most of northern and western Wisconsin.

Highs across the state will range from the middle 20s north, to the lower to middle 30s south.
