Risk for rip currents remains HIGH through the weekend for the coastal Alabama and northwest Florida beaches. Everyone is strongly urged to stay out of the surf as numerous, strong, life-threatening rip currents are expected. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Do not swim against the current, instead, swim in a direction following the beach and shoreline. If unable to escape the pull of the rip current, wave and yell for help.
