A system will bring widespread rain to the region today through Friday. Interior New England and southern Maine will see the highest totals of 1.50" to 2.50". A few rivers could reach action level, but none are forecast to reach flood stage at this time.
Increased inflows are expected into the Gulf of Maine as a frontal system brings widespread rain for Thursday and Friday. There is a chance of another round of showers for later on Saturday, but agreement between models is poor for amounts. Any windows of east to northeast flow appear limited to early Friday to Friday evening at this point, otherwise other opportunities are unlikely.
