Overview

A surface trough ahead of a nearly stationary cold front across the Great Lakes developed showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening on August 13. A few of the storms were severe with localized damaging winds and localized flash flooding, mainly across northern New Haven County and portions of the NYC metro.
