Overview
A large upper trough interacted with a cold front that moved offshore during the evening on January 17, 2026 to form a weak low pressure. The low was well offshore, but moisture and light associated with the upper trough brought periods of light snow to the region during the morning and then again late in the afternoon into the night on Sunday, January 18.
