Earliest 100°F on record and hottest day since July 22, 2011 (103°F). Low of 81°F on June 26 ties the highest minimum temperature for June on record.
LaGuardia, NY (101°F/June 24) — Tied hottest June day on record on June 13, 2017 & June 26,1952. Hottest day since June 13, 2017 (Also 101°F).

A heat wave occurred across the Tri-State area beginning Sunday, June 22nd and continued through Wednesday, June 25th. A heat wave occurs when the temperature reaches or exceeds 90°F for three or more consecutive days. Hot temperatures peaked in the upper 90s and low 100s, combining with high humidity resulting in heat indices 100°F to around 110°F. The maps below show high temperatures for each day in the heat wave and include the observed heat index at 2pm each afternoon
